Since I lost the keys to the bank vault, I have had to learn how to build quality studios on a tight budget. The studios are small in footprint; for those with a tight space. Most of the equipment can be found on e-bay; Of importance when buying used CD or cassette decks are worn out belts. I got the last six belts for my AiWA cassette decks in stock, one of the decks no longer had belts available. Most cart machines are direct drive, so no worries about belts. The girl pictured in remote studio two has become an actress and has parts in two movies, I bet it will cost alllot more to get here to pose the next time! .
The current draw on the studios is very low, We can power up our two radio stations with a single car battery for 18 hours. One of our stations stayed on the air for two years straight, despite a number of power outages. We finally got taken off the air from a leak that soaked our transmitters circut board, unlike the big boys in the area we had a back up transmitter to switch to. We have back ups for everything and in seperate locations in case of fire or flood. Studio details are here Studio Set Up Steve Radio Outlaw |
